Making Waves, Dreaming Deeper at 27th Year

At its 27th year anniversary, the UPV TLRC is inviting all UPV constituents to participate in the set of activities that are lined up on April 22-24, 2024. In the spirit of this celebration, the TLRC affirms its continued commitment to making impactful programs and services that contribute to the enrichment of teaching and learning and offering services that cater to the needs of UPV constituents. With the theme, “Making Waves, Dreaming Deeper at 27th Year”, the UPV TLRC highlights the profoundness of our aspirations and the impacts of our actions. As we move forward for another year, may we find it in ourselves to dream not only for our own gain but also to fulfill our roles in the university and the larger community as Iskolars ng Bayan. To give thanks to our supportive clients, the TLRC will be offering Piso Printing for the UPV community for the whole month of April and will be facilitating its yearly fun-filled TeLeBingo. Also, in support of the Research, Extension, and Professional (REPS) personnel, the UPV TLRC will be conducting a workshop that aims to strengthen their skills as they continue to address the needs of the nation and the global community through the programs that they create.Join us in the celebration, take part in the action. AlgeBreak!: Breaking Down Problems into Solutions

The UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center, in collaboration with the Mathematics Cluster of the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics, presents AlgeBreak!: Breaking Down Problems into Solutions – a Supplemental Program for Mathematics Courses on November 26 (Saturday), 2022 at 9:30 AM.This program aims to refresh and enrich students with foundation topics in Algebra to get them ready for their incoming examinations. The topics to be covered by the program are as follows:Session 1: Real Numbers System, Laws of Inequalities (Order Axioms), Laws of Exponents, and Special Products with Prof. Jeoffrey Libo-on (9:45 AM to 10:45 AM)Session 2: Factoring of Polynomials, Solving Equations, and Solving Inequalities with Prof. Marierose Chavez (11:00 AM to 12:00 NN)Session 3: Least Common Denominators, Fractions, and Equations Involving Rational Functions with Prof. Maryene Sy Piecco (1:45 PM to 2:45 PM)Session 4: Simplification of Radicals, Equations involving Radicals, and Radicals in Derivatives with Prof. Raquel Cajayon (3:00 PM to 4:00 PM) Please note that this program is open to all UPV students, but priority will be given to those with recommendation from a Mathematics Cluster faculty member.
