The Univerity of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Teaching and Learning Resource Center (TLRC) successfully completed its extensive TeachSMART training marathon under the banner TeachSMART: Best Teaching Practices for Effective Learning. With a total of 60 junior and newly-hired faculty members as participants and 19 senior faculty members as resource persons, this milestone iteration marked the 3rd year of the innovative training program, which is dedicated to empowering faculty members and newly hired educators with modern pedagogical tools, teaching philosophies, and essential academic insights.

The Teaching and Learning Resource Center would like to congratulate the graduates of Batch Himakas, UPV Class of 2025 especially our Peer Tutors and Student Assistant. We would like to thank the following students (now graduates) who extended their service by imparting their knowledge to their fellow students and helped us enrich the teaching and learning environment in UPV.

The UP Visayas Teaching and Learning Resource Center (UPV TLRC) celebrated its 28th anniversary with the theme, “Innovate at 28th,” highlighting the Center’s mandate of providing teaching effectiveness programs, learning instructional assistance programs, inclusive learning spaces, and efficient services to university constituents through actively undertaking innovative steps to enrich the teaching and learning environment in UPV.

Incoming first year students arrived at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) two weeks before the official registration schedule and marked the start of their academic journey as they participated in the annual Bridge Program in English and Mathematics conducted by the UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center in collaboration with the Division of Humanities and Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics of the College of Arts and Sciences on July 23 to August 5, 2024.
