TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) was established primarily as a systematic academic and psychosocial support program for the Excellence-Equity Admissions System (EEAS) of UP. The Center is envisioned to provide students with necessary assistance that will further enhance their quality of life on campus. Its main task is to provide instructional support services to UP students to ensure that the goal of promoting academic excellence will be realized in a more caring and nurturing environment. It is to administer assistance programs designed not only for freshmen but also for all other students in the University.

Course 1: Building a Teaching Effectiveness Program
The UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center is set to conduct the Echo Workshop for TaLAS (Teaching and Learning Activities for SUCs) on November 27-28, 2024, at the MILC Audio-visual Room. This activity aims to train faculty members on how to build Teaching Effectiveness Programs to further enrich the teaching and learning experience in UPV.

Alumni support livens TLRC Peer Tutorial Program
The Peer Tutorial program of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Teaching and Learning Resource Center continues its operations as alumni sponsors donate a total of PhP 73, 319.80 through the sponsor-a-tutee program of the TLRC.
TLRC, DPSM, strengthen students’ math skills
To strengthen and enrich students’ foundational skills in Math, review different mathematical operations, and hone skills in problem solving, the UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center in collaboration with the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM) operationalized the second run of its supplemental program for mathematics courses aptly named, Algebreak! 2.0: Breaking Down Problems into Solutions.
UPV TaLAS team conducts echo-workshop
Following the participation of UP Visayas in the UP System-wide Teaching and Learning Activities for SUCs, or “TaLAS” Course I: Building a Teaching Effectiveness Program workshop on November 21-22, 2023 at the UP School of Economics, the faculty participants from the different colleges and representatives of the Teaching and Learning Resource Center conducted an echo-workshop of the same topic on November 27-28, 2024 at the MILC AVR.

Have access to audio-visual rooms as venues for trainings, conferences, curricular and co-curricular activities. The newly-opened ‘hobbyist hub’ offers you a working space to design and make ‘doable’ projects.
Avail of TLRC’s printing, computer and, do-it-yourself resources for learning purposes. Play educational games and have fun while learning.

TLRC offers a learning space for teachers and students needing a place to work on their thesis, assignments and other academic requirements using the computer
The Audio-Visual rooms (TLRC-AVR and ILP-AVR) are available for training, seminars, workshops, fora, and film showings. The AVRs are fully furnished with multimedia equipment. The TLRC-AVR provides a comfortable space for fifty (50) persons and the ILP-AVR accommodates only a maximum of 100 persons.
TLRC also offers laser, digital printing and photocopying, lamination and ring binding at a minimal cost.

Students conduct peer-to-peer learning, make group assignments, study, work on term papers and other academic requirements in a cool and cozy atmosphere. For those who simply want to relax and destress themselves, TLRC provides recreational learning materials and game boards
This program is offered during the academic year for students who find difficulty coping with subjects in Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics and Communication and Physics. This learning assistance program provides opportunity for students to mentor their fellow students.
