The Learning Resource Center (LRC) was established primarily as a systematic academic and psychosocial support program for the Excellence-Equity Admissions System (EEAS) of UP. The Center is envisioned to provide students with necessary assistance that will further enhance their quality of life on campus. Its main task is to provide instructional support services to UP students to ensure that the goal of promoting academic excellence will be realized in a more caring and nurturing environment. It is to administer assistance programs designed not only for freshmen but also for all other students in the University.

Survey on TLRC Services, Programs, and Facilities
The Teaching and Learning Resource Center invites all UPV constituents (students, faculty, staff, and REPS) to answer its SPF 2024 Survey, a survey dedicated to help the TLRC grasp specific needs of the UPV clients with regards to its services, programs, and facilities. Responses on this survey would allow the TLRC gain insights on how to improve its service delivery, delivery of programs, and utilization of facilities.

ALGEBREAK 2.0: Breaking down problems into solutions
A weekly supplemental program for Mathematics course
The UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center and the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics warmly invite students to take part in the second run of Algebreak!: A Supplemental Program for Mathematics Courses that aims to strengthen and enrich students’ foundational skills in Math. Algebreak! is an apt avenue for students to review different mathematical operations and hone skills in problem solving.
In this program, students will be assigned a weekly schedule, based on their availability, and will undergo several lectures and interactive activities facilitated by faculty members of the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics.
This weekly program will start on October 7 and will end on December 6, 2024. Each week will consist of one (1) session.

PEER TUTORIAL PROGRAM
CALL FOR TUTEES
To address your learning needs, the UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center offers its Peer Tutorial Program wherein volunteer Tutors are provided the opportunity to mentor their fellow students. The TLRC has six (6) volunteer tutors for this semester and will be offering tutorials on the following subjects:
UPV LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM III
The Teaching and Learning Resource Center invites faculty members and lecturers (particularly newly appointed and returning faculty members) as well as students to the LMS Orientation for the First Semester AY 2024-2025 on August 15 (Thursday), 2024.
TLRC Learning Spaces
The TLRC Learning Spaces will be implementing an extended schedule for the exam week from May 27 to June 4, 2024:
Estudio (TLRC Student Lounge) – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
TLRC Lobby (CUB Basement Lobby) – open 24 hours
We will also be giving away FREE coffee packs for those who want to study in the learning spaces (bring your own mug/cup).
TLRC & MILC-ILP FACILITIES RESERVATION
We made the reservation of facilities easier for you!
The UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center offers Audio-visual Rooms and an Interactive Classroom that are available for classes, trainings, seminars, workshops, fora, and film showings. The facilities of the TLRC are fully furnished with multimedia equipment. The TLRC AVR is located at the basement of the College Union Building and the MILC-ILP AVR and Interactive Classroom are located at the basement of the College of Arts and Sciences.
To reserve the facilities of the TLRC, follow these easy steps:
- Step 1: Check the USE OF FACILITIES CALENDAR for availability of facilities on our website: https://tlrc.upv.edu.ph/calendar-of-activities/
- Step 2: If your preferred schedule for a facility is available, fill out the RUFF (Request for Use of Facilities Form): https://tlrc.upv.edu.ph/ruff/
For student organizations, please attach letter to hold activity signed by adviser and other necessary documents.
Note: Reservation and submission of documents should be done AT LEAST 3-5 days before the activity. For strict compliance. - Step 3: Coordinate with the TLRC staff for payment for the use of facilities (if applicable). Note: Faculty members are entitled to three (3) FREE uses of each facility per section per semester. - Step 4: Wait for the approval of the TLRC Director. Your schedule will be reflected on the Calendar once approved.
Note: The facilities of the UPV TLRC are only available Mondays-Fridays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding holidays)

Bridgers set foot in UPV
Incoming first year students arrived at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) two weeks before the official registration schedule and marked the start of their academic journey as they participated in the annual Bridge Program in English and Mathematics conducted by the UPV Teaching and Learning Resource Center in collaboration with the Division of Humanities and Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics of the College of Arts and Sciences on July 23 to August 5, 2024.

Its anniversary theme is “Making Waves, Dreaming Better.”

TLRC offers a learning space for teachers and students needing a place to work on their thesis, assignments and other academic requirements using the computer
The Audio-Visual rooms (TLRC-AVR and ILP-AVR) are available for training, seminars, workshops, fora, and film showings. The AVRs are fully furnished with multimedia equipment. The TLRC-AVR provides a comfortable space for fifty (50) persons and the ILP-AVR accommodates only a maximum of 100 persons.
TLRC also offers laser, digital printing and photocopying, lamination and ring binding at a minimal cost.

Students conduct peer-to-peer learning, make group assignments, study, work on term papers and other academic requirements in a cool and cozy atmosphere. For those who simply want to relax and destress themselves, TLRC provides recreational learning materials and game boards
This program is offered during the academic year for students who find difficulty coping with subjects in Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics and Communication and Physics. This learning assistance program provides opportunity for students to mentor their fellow students.
